Favorite Game Series
So HERE's the one for your favorite game series. A game series, if you're unsure, would be any game that shares a name with another game and usually follows similar if not congruent gameplay mechanics. There's other specifics, but generally games within a series share the same name. Such as Final Fantasy, Super Smash Bros., Halo or Super Mario. Just keep in mind, that "Mario" is not a series, Mario Kart and Super Mario are different game series as well.
Again, I'll comment later.

Re: Favorite Game Series
Hm....I guess Final Fantasy? lol but seriously I've always loved adventure situations, whether it's set in the future w/ machines (FF7 and 8, etc.), a medieval setting (FF 1-6, 9, 11, etc.) or a combination of the two (10, 12, etc.) I just find it almost like reading a book or watching a movie, you cannot stop because it is/they are so fascinating and fun for me. Though Phoenix Wright is also fun to play to, mainly though for the characters which is what the game is about, character interaction.
Re: Favorite Game Series
Final Fantasy series, street fighter series, KH series, super puzzle fighters, anything that capcom, square enix, and snk makes = me likey =D
Re: Favorite Game Series
@Mary: Yea if I had to find a reason to appreciate Final Fantasy, it'd be for its setting. They always have fantastic settings, though I usually don't care too much for their plots. Their characters can range from interesting and dynamic to hyper-generic, but that's every game.
@ Cecilia: You really can't choose between those things? Like what's your ALL TIME favorite?

Re: Favorite Game Series
Well that'd be- awh never mind, that's close enough, haha.
I think my favorite game series would have to be Unreal Tournament. I have a lot of high ones, like Burnout, Ogre Battle, SSB and Street Fighter, but the Unreal Tournament series just so-perfectly encapsulates what I love about FPS games that I can't ignore its awesomeness- as if I'd want to.

Re: Favorite Game Series
This was actually pretty hard for me but if I had to narrow it down to one particular series, it'd be Ace Combat. Amazing visuals, bone-chilling soundtrack, Fabulous Art direction, sense of adrenaline. AC's plots have been forgettable but blowing shit out of the sky in that game or flying in a tiny air duct of a giant WMD(like muthafuckin' Luke Skywalker) just has no comparable feeling.
Namco, where the hell is my AC7?(Not some ghetto iPhone game or Portable)

Harvest Moon.
I would say FF games but I don't own REAL ones. Mario games are fun but I only really liked 64 and sunshine. (YES I LIKED SUNSHINE) Theres also Pokemon Mystery dungeon. I could talk about why I feel its so much better but that would take too long and I'm should hurry and actually start writing my speech for class.
Anyway... I love the Harvest Moon series since it gives me a lot of freedom. Well I guess it depends on which game. One good example is Another Wonderful life. You start off sucking at farm work, being poor and alone. Then You slowly become better and work for your future. You eventually get married, have a kid and start developing friendships and raise your child. After a while, doing the same stuff over and over gets tiring but when you do reach the end you can look back and see that all that hard work was worth it. Getting married and becoming awesome... all of its good. I could go into how good the other harvest moon games are but I'll spare everyone. Rune factory kind of counts too so I'll say thats part of it.
