JVAC Webcomic Series
A few of us had been talking about this idea, I think initially between me and Santi, then I mentioned it to GT, that we could do a JVAC Webcomic. Now some of us are artists and some of us are writers, so it'd be cool to have a writing team and an art team. The idea would be that we could take various gaming, anime, and real life club experiences and turn them into internet lols. The writers would write as they pleased, either working solo or together, then post up scripts. Artists or art teams could then sign up to take on that comic, then after finishing it, have it edited, then posted. After that, they would be allowed to take on new scripts to draw. That way, we include everyone and everyone pretty much polices themselves. The writers of the script would talk with the artists about the end product before its finalized, and there will be an editing team that would oversee the finished product before it gets posted officially. It'd be a great way for us to express our artistic and writing talents, as well as showcase some of the more hilarious moments in JVAC history. There'd be no strict style, too, because there could be as many as five different teams, some doing strips, some doing panels or even pages; some with more American style, likely more people with a Japanese manga style, etc.
I seriously think this would be an awesome idea. GT could oversee the proceedings to make sure nobody's taking on too much work, or etc., and other than that we put out as many comics as we have finished scripts at what ever interval we want.
What do you guys think?

I say go for it, remember we tried to do something like this with Jimmy last semester but in the end other than a few ppl no one ended up following through, so if you can find ppl with the ability, and responsibility to go through with it It could be a good idea.

As I recall he wanted to do an anime, and then a manga. Right? Admirable intentions, and I really wish that had come through, but hopefully with something like this where the intention is for it to be smaller scale, it should workout. I think people got scared, which is, again, unfortunate. I'm a pretty prolific writer as long as I've got people working with me, same with my art. I'm definitely down.

pretty much wanted to get something started, but in the end ppl who were given positions never kept in contact
Re: JVAC Webcomic Series
I'd love to see parodies of the club in a comic. Some JVAC history with a funny twist could be good too. ...I think thats what you were trying to go for but I dunno. That sounds like something I might wanna try. ...Well for writing. I suck at drawing. Maybe though... I do have to focus on other things.
Heh heh I was spacing out when you mentioned this earlier. All I heard was blah blah blah art blah blah comic blah blah right Alex? But yeah it is a good idea.

I have been writing for three years, not as professional but I try to be
as professional as possible. I am currently on the work of a mech military, Elf fantasy war novel.
I have experience with photoshop and creating characters in mech. I hope to be a part of this event

Wait, I have recalculated the years I have been writing. I have been writing since age 14 to now of age 22. apparently that is 8 years worth of experience and writing my story

Okay, once I get home I'll go ahead and get started with the foundations for this idea. That and the podcast.

Write it. Or get someone to help you if you need to or want to. If you want to draw it and have someone else write it, that's fine. Or do the whole thing if you want, it's up to you. Point is, we're here to help.
